“Learning in the modern workspace” is this year’s theme of the Dommel Valley Group’s Event and will center on the question: “How can L&D better facilitate the fact that most meaningful & professional learning occurs on the job and that a lot of information need requires a ‘just-in-time’ approach?”

Once again, the event will be hosted at the Eindhoven University of Technology and will includes key-notes as well as workshops and round-table sessions, allowing you to experience the daily practice of L&D departments across different companies and industries.

During the event Ruud Dullens (CEO BlueTea) will take you into the world of Virtual Simulations & Serious Gaming

By using virtual simulations and serious gaming (with or without technology like Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality; Hololens) BlueTea help organizations with their training needs. Where these needs are large, dangerous or inaccessible, VR and AR are used to train effectively. This for both building comprehension prior to practical training (pre-practice training) and also during the practical training (on-the-job training). Using a number of business cases he will do a quiz with you during the workshop. You can comment online on a number of statements which we then further discuss. This way you will learn about gaming and what it can mean for your organization.

About the Dommel Valley Group:

The Dommel Valley Group (DVG) was founded in 1998 by a group of Learning Professionals from several High Tech companies in the Dommel Valley region, such as Philips, ASML, Océ and Assembléon, and the Technical University of Eindhoven. DVG still is what it started out to be: a group of enthusiastic Learning Professionals interested in sharing knowledge, best practices and visions on learning practices, now and in the future.

In addition to being a lively network, DVG organizes visits to the “L&D kitchens” of many companies that are both directly or indirectly associated with DVG. Every 12-18 months, DVG also organizes a recurring symposium that allows Learning Professionals from all across the Netherlands to attend for just a minor fee. Attending this Dommel Valley Event is a must for anyone interested in knowing the L&D status quo and future ambitions of some of the Netherlands most successful high-tech companies.
